Part 1: Haunted Wisconsin And Its Spirits

Maybe it’s just the circle of people I grew up around. Maybe its just the physical location and everyone having common paranormal experiences. Whatever it is, talk of “ghosts” around Wisconsin is a common thing. It’s not as taboo a topic as it feels in other areas of the country. As a child, I would regularly check out books from the local library about haunted Wisconsin and would ask teachers, friends or anyone who would listen about their ghostly experiences. On today’s episode of The Grave Talks, we discuss several of Wisconsin’s haunted locations as well as a few others in surrounding states with Craig Nehring Of Fox Valley Ghost Hunters.

Farrar Elementary School Spirits

Just outside of Wisconsin, in Iowa sits the Farrar Elementary School. Shuttered in 2001, many believe that the spirits of children long gone still run the halls in fear of a principal once shrouded in dark allegations.

Villisca Axe Murder House

Another nearby haunting is the Villisca Axe Murder House. A home where several children met their demise at the hands of mad man’s ax many years ago. Why do their spirits still infest this property?

Part 2 (Grave Keeper Exclusive): Demonic Forces in A Church

Back in the state of Wisconsin, sits St. Joseph Church. No longer a functioning house of worship, it now holds relics of other peoples things. Some believe it also holds the spirits of former parishioners, as well as a dark force that never walked this earth in human form in its dark corridors. Why would something so evil haunt a place once believed to be so holy?

The Grand Opera House

In downtown Oshkosh, Wisconsin sits a theater that to this day holds up to the “Grand” in its name. The Grand Opera house. It also holds the spirits of those who cared for it through its almost century of existence.

Haunted Winery

We also discuss who may be haunting the von Stiehl Winery in Algoma Wisconsin. We discuss personal experiences of this haunting from Tony’s family.  As well as thoughts on who may be still attempting to be part of the winemaking from the other side to this day.
